DanceScene is a dance blog by London based dance writer Maria Hardcastle. Dedicated to bringing readers a well rounded perspective of the dance world with performance reviews, interviews with creative artists and informative feature articles.
Maria trained and studied for her BA (Hons) in Theatre Dance at London Studio Centre. She has been exposed to a variety of dance styles but used her training to specialise in Contemporary dance as a member of Intoto Dance Company. Maria started her journey into dance writing with the Resolution Review for The Place Blog and has gone on to write for londondance.com, artkaleid and The Wonderful World of Dance. She also works as a dance educator and choreographer within Hertfordshire and London.
